MESSAGE
On this festive occasion of Vishu on 15th April, 2022, I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the people of Goa, particularly the Kerala brethren.
The festival marks the first day of Malayalam month Medam. Vishu signifies the joyous dawn of traditional new year and the harvest season. The festival is characterized by the families getting together, preparing colourful auspicious items and offering prayers at the temples. The festival is celebrated with gaiety and devotion. This festival while strengthening the feelings of togetherness and harmony reaffirms our commitment to the cause of unity amidst diversity.
This year let the festivities be observed with adherence to safety protocols and may be celebration of Vishu bring greater peace, prosperity and happiness to one and all.
