Release Of Book ???Thirty Days Of Mission Humanity??? And Felicitation Of Foga Radm. P.g. Pynumootil And Shri Damodar Mauzo
On 16.12.2021 at 11.30 a.m., Raj Bhavan organised a programme for the release of a Coffee Table book titled ???Thirty Days of Mission Humanity???. Retd. Supreme Court Judge Hon???ble Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph, Lokayukta of Kerala released the book capturing programmes, visits and activities of the Hon???ble Governor of 30 days from 8th October, 2021 to 7th November, 2021.
2. On this occasion, Hon???ble Governor felicitatied Shri Damodar Mauzo, winner of Jnanpith Award 2021 and Rear Admiral Philipose George Pynumootil, NM, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area (FOGA) who was awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal by the Hon???ble President of India for his dedicated service to the nation. Also, financial aid to 5 Social Service Institutions and 10 dialysis patients was disbursed by the Hon???ble Governor
3.Shri Damodar Maujo and Rear Admiral Philipose George Pynumootil complimented the Hon???ble Governor for his humanitarian work. Retd. Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph spoke about the importance of every citizen being ???a good human being??? and the work undertaken by Hon???ble Governor of Goa reflected this virtue. Keeping in view the constitutional principles of secularism and democracy, he urged all people to respect all religions and govern their life by the principle of ???live and help live???. He said he was privileged to release the book of ???Thirty days of Mission Humanity???.
4. The Hon???ble Governor in his speech recalled the struggle of the people of Bangladesh for independence and its formation in 1971. He said it was a struggle for the cause of humanity. Hon???ble Governor, a prolific writer of 141 books said that creative writers and thinkers can bring about immense change in society through motivation and guidance.
5.Secretary to Governor Shri R. Mihir Vardhan welcomed the gathering and Smt. Mazzie D???Sa proposed the Vote of Thanks.
