Hon’ble Governor visits Old-age homes/Shelter homes as part of his Field Trips Programme
Hon’ble Governor today visited Aashiyana, a shelter home for girls at Zuarinagar, Sancoale – Goa and interacted with the inmates. Hon’ble MLA, Smt. Alina Saldanha was also present during the visit of Hon’ble Governor.
During his interaction with the girl inmates, Hon’ble Governor mentioned about his experience in Mizoram during his visit to one of the shelter homes which compelled him to take up this noble cause. He also appealed to the people to donate generously for the betterment of the old-age and shelter homes. Adv. Rita Sreedhar, Spouse of Hon’ble Governor, Shri Guirish Pillai, Sarpanch Village Panchayat of Cortalim, Shri Abdul Wahid, Chairman, Aashiyana Shelter Home, Teachers, Committee Members of Aashiyana Shelter Home were present during the visit.
Hon’ble Governor also visited Sub-District Hospital Chicalim to acquaint himself about the dialysis unit and inquired about the well being of the patients admitted there.
