Gandhi Jayanti was observed at Raj Bhavan. The celebrations were led by Hon’ble Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai and Smt. Rita Sreedharan by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhiji followed by Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways of India and Prof. Harilal B. Menon, Vice Chancellor, Goa  University. Sarva Dharma Bhavan Prarthana of different communities was also conducted followed by Bhajans. The event was graced by Pandit Nyaneshwar Patil, Fr. Dr. Agnelo Pinheiro and Maula Mohamad Irfan and staff of the Raj Bhavan.
