Every year like other Raj Bhavans all over the country on Independence Day 15th August, Raj Bhavan, Goa, in the evening has been hosting ‘At Home Reception’ on the campus. This occasion gives an opportunity to the Hon’ble Governor to meet and interact with important people of Goa as well as exchange greetings.
This year due to the prevailing Covid situation in the country and need to take precautionary measures, such as social distancing, avoiding of large gatherings and protecting vulnerable groups, Raj Bhavan, Goa has decided to scale down the evening get-together to a small number of guests of around 50 officials in the Durbar Hall. Consequently, Raj Bhavan, Goa regrets that it will not be possible to invite all the people who usually attend ‘At Home Reception’. Raj Bhavan looks forward to return of normalcy and hosting of the next function in the usual grand manner.
