MESSAGE
On the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa in general and our Muslim brethren in particular.
2. Id-ul-Fitr is an appropriate occasion to rededicate ourselves to live up to the eternal and invaluable ideals professed by Prophet Mohammad. This way only the human race can find peace, amity and unity. In the present-day world, afflicted by religious jealousy, bigotry, communal hatred, creedal conflicts and mistrust amongst the people, we need to sincerely follow the path and ideals shown by our spiritual leaders. This will make our life happy and wholesome. Let us, therefore, practice, in our day-today life, in letter and spirit, the eternal messages given by Prophet Mohammed for our own well-being and happiness.
3. May the celebrations of Id-ul-Fitr this year bring renewed joy, love and peace to everyone.
